Places like Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur are famous for edgy mountains, curvy roads, and beautiful apple orchards. Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 01

Arrival at Camp Tethys Kasauli Hills (Prem Nagar)

On the first day of the trip, you will reach Camp Tethys, Kasauli Hills for an overnight stay. Camp Tethys is the perfect place to live near nature. The camp is ideal for adventure activities, rejuvenating your mind, and is an absolutely peaceful place to stay. One can enjoy the beautiful sunset from here.

Day 02

Sirmaur: Drive Through the Interiors of Sirmaur 

On the second day of the trip, we will check out from Camp Tethys and drive to Sirmaur. After a drive of about three hours, we will reach Sirmaur – a place famous for its edgy landscapes, tranquil roads, and lush green forests. Along with the misty mountains, this place is not on every travelers’ list while in Himachal Pradesh but open valley and extended landscapes invite you to spend some time in serenity.

Day 03

Drive to Shimla Hills (Narkanda) via Yashwant Nagar

On the third day of the tour, we will head towards Shimla via Yashwant Nagar. Yashwant Nagar is also known as Giripul as it is located on the back of the “Giri” River. It is the most serene and calm place you’ve ever come across! Loudly flowing rivers, sheep herds, and breathtaking views of the mountains will make you feel so close to nature.

Day 04

Drive to Baga Sarahan/Daran Ghati/Pabbar Valley/Janjehli

Fourth day is going to be full of excitement and surprises as embark on a trip to the rurality of Himachal. These places are less travelled and explored. These are the places where you get up close with the local culture and diversity, and a chance to tastes of authentic Himachali delicacies.

Baga Sarahan is a beautiful open meadow which reveals itself to the visitors once you cross Sutlej River at Rampur and take a 45 km-long uphill drive to finally discover this beautiful gem of nature.

Daran Ghati is a beautiful camping spot and a wildlife sanctuary some 100 km away from Narkanda. Situated at an altitude of 3000 m, the campsite and wildlife sanctuary are connected to the National Highway 05 through a narrow road that branches off at Rampur. The road is all covered in deodar forests and apple orchards.

Pabbar Valley is about 60 km from Narkanda. High altitude roads making their way through dense deodar forests and apple orchards, a connecting road takes you to a beautiful valley home to Pabbar River.

Janjehli is one of the best eco-tourism destinations in the state. The pristine settings of the region along with pleasant weather, rich cultural diversity, and mesmerizing scenic beauty, travelling to Janjehli is worth every effort and dime. The whole journey towards Janjheli offers scenic views to the visitors.

Day 05

Drive to Shimla Hills (Shoghi) Resort

On the fifth day of the tour, we will drive back to Shimla Hills. We will reach Shogi Resort for an overnight stay. We will enjoy the fun activities with our family and friends and dance to local tunes to end our 5 day-long journey that gave us so many beautiful memories and moments that we will cherish for life.

Day 06

Drive Back Home

After breakfast, we will check out from the resort and drive back home with millions of memories of this wonderful trip.

Do not DRINK & DRIVE.

Himalayas are an eco-sensitive zone. You can contribute by keeping carbon footprints as low as possible.

Always insist on Safety before Speed.

Do not forget to bring your own sleeping bag for nights in the remote locations.

Always maintain a first aid kit with all the necessary medicines, adhesive bandages, thermometer, water purification tablets, antibiotics, antiseptic creams, petroleum jellies like vaseline etc.

The change of water may cause an upset stomach.

Do keep portable fresh drinking water with you all the time. If having water from outside, take only mineral water bottles and ensure that the seal is not broken. Even in restaurants, take bottled mineral water only and not the water served there.

Don’t use and discard polythene/ plastics/ other hazardous material.

In order to avoid dehydration drink fluids.

Make it a habit to wear a cap or a scarf and apply sunscreen while roaming in the sun and cover your head and ears to protect from the cold breeze.

Do not stay out after it gets too dark, the wildlife may surprise you.

If your driver is driving dangerously, refuse to travel with him.

Be positive, confident, leave your “past” at home.

Antiseptic alcohol-based hand wash (essential).

Sun block (essential): a high factor is strongly recommended.

Lightweight yet warm clothing is absolutely necessary

Sleeping bag (essential): mattress will be provided every night, please bring your own sleeping bag for nights in the remote locations.

A lightweight 2-3 season bag is recommended.

Wash bag, scarf / bandanna, caps (to protect neck, ears and head), fleece / pullover, towel, snow boots, casual trousers
