ABOUT

NARKANDA SNOW DRIVE

Spiti valley may be the default (or preferred) destination for road trippers during winters, but we recommend Narkanda. Narkanda is great for adventurers and rookies who are doing snow drive for the first time.

Narkanda is a small town located at an altitude of about 2700 meters above sea level. It receives moderate to heavy snowfall during December, January and March. There are plenty of snowy trails to tread on during winter months.

Unlike Spiti, the town remains connected to the capital city of Shimla throughout the winter. On our Narkanda snow drive expedition, we venture on snowy roads of Sara Meadow, Baghi, and Kotgarh.

Most of these winter wonderlands are still not on the radar of regular tourists, and all are located amidst thick forests of deodar cedar and apple orchards. Driving on snow-carpeted trails and passing through dense cedar forest is an experience that places like Spiti and Ladakh do not offer.

All these places are a few hours drive from Narkanda. We can cover multiple places in a single day and drive back to our basecamp, i.e., Tethys Ski Resort, Narkanda.

Come and experience yourself.
